Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Overview

Peaktle (“we”, “our”, or “the game”) is a free browser-based educational puzzle. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected when you play.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not require an account, login, email address, or any personal information. We do not collect names, location data, device identifiers, or browsing history beyond what is necessary to serve the static site.

3. Local Storage

Game progress (guesses for the daily/weekly puzzle and your streak) is stored solely in your browser’s localStorage under the key Peaktle_state_v1. This data never leaves your device. Clearing browser data will reset your streak and progress.

4. Analytics & Advertising

If Google AdSense or similar third-party advertising is enabled, those services may set cookies or use similar technologies according to their own privacy policies. We do not control or have access to the data they collect. You can manage ad personalization via your Google account settings or browser cookie controls.

5. Cookies

Peaktle itself sets no first-party tracking cookies. Any cookies present are those set by third-party services (e.g., AdSense) if enabled.

6. Children’s Privacy

Peaktle is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Contact

For privacy-related questions, please contact the site operator via the domain owner information publicly available for peaktle.pages.dev.
